Edukasi Dan Sosialisasi Inhaler Aromaterapi Kombinasi Minyak Peppermint (Mentha × piperita) Dan Minyak Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Pengetahuan Mahasiswa Tentang Aromaterapi Herbal

Aromaterapi herbal merupakan salah satu terapi komplementer yang memanfaatkan minyak atsiri dari tanaman untuk memberikan efek relaksasi, meningkatkan kenyamanan, serta membantu mengurangi stres. Minyak peppermint (Mentha × piperita) mengandung senyawa utama menthol yang memberikan sensasi segar dan berpotensi meningkatkan konsentrasi, sedangkan minyak chamomile (Matricaria recutita) memiliki kandungan senyawa bioaktif yang berperan dalam memberikan efek menenangkan dan relaksasi. Pemanfaatan aromaterapi dalam bentuk inhaler menjadi salah satu alternatif penggunaan minyak atsiri yang praktis dan mudah diaplikasikan. Namun, pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai manfaat, cara penggunaan, serta keamanan aromaterapi herbal masih perlu ditingkatkan. Kegiatan edukasi dan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai inhaler aromaterapi kombinasi minyak peppermint dan minyak chamomile sebagai bentuk pemanfaatan bahan alam dalam mendukung kesehatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui metode edukasi berupa penyampaian materi, pengenalan manfaat minyak peppermint dan chamomile, penjelasan mengenai inhaler aromaterapi, demonstrasi penggunaan produk, serta sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab. Evaluasi tingkat pengetahuan peserta dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah kegiatan edukasi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai pengetahuan peserta setelah diberikan edukasi dan sosialisasi mengenai inhaler aromaterapi kombinasi minyak peppermint dan minyak chamomile. Peningkatan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa metode edukasi yang diberikan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai manfaat, penggunaan, dan keamanan aromaterapi herbal. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung peningkatan literasi kesehatan mahasiswa serta mendorong pemanfaatan produk herbal secara tepat, aman, dan berbasis pengetahuan ilmiah.
