STUDI PELEPASAN NATRIUM DIKLOFENAK DARI NA-CMC HASIL SINTESIS SELULOSA ECENG GONDOK MENGGUNAKAN EPIKLOROHIDRIN SEBAGAI CROSSLINKER

Eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms.) memiliki kandungan sellulosa cukup tinggi yaitu 66,87%, sehingga mempunyai potensi sebagai sumber untuk pembuatan natrium karboksimetilselulosa (Na-CMC). Penggunaan kombinasi pelarut isobutil-isopropil alkohol serta crosslinker diketahui dapat memperbaiki karakteristik NaCMC dalam mengikat air sehingga berpotensi digunakan dalam sediaan hydrogel. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pelapasan Na diklofenak dari basis hydrogel NaCMC hasil sintesis dari eceng gondok dengan crosslinker epiklorhidrin. Metode terdiri dari isolasi α-selulosa, sintesis Na-CMC, penambahan crosslinker epiklorohidrin, uji swelling ratio, analisis gugus fungsi dengan FTIR, formulasi Na-CMC dengan zat aktif natrium diklofenak, uji difusi, dan uji particle size analysis (PSA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakterisasi hydrogel Na-CMC dari eceng gondok dengan crosslinking epiklorhidrin dan Na CMC baku berturut-turut yaitu nilai swelling rasio 54% dan 1218.75%. Serapan gugus fungsi C = O terdapat pada bilangan gelombang 1631.78 cm-1 dan 1716,65 cm-1; ukuran partikel 1.212 nm dan 1.197 nm. Hasil studi pelepasan na diclofenac dari NaCMC hydrogel yaitu 13.01%, dan 8.56%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil difusi Na CMC-crosslinking dengan epiklorhidrin hasil sintesis dari eceng gondok dapat memperbaiki profil difusi sediaan.
